“Show Us Your Big Ones” Pumpkin Contest returns for 2019

The “Show Us Your Big Ones” Pumpkin Contest will be held September 7, 2019. A pumpkin must weigh at least 50 pounds and up to 6 inches of stem may remain on pumpkin for the weigh-in. The Pumpkin must be grown by the exhibitor. Weigh in is from 9 AM to 10 AM on Saturday, September 7, 2019 near the main entrance to the Steam Engine Grounds. A pumpkin must be free of foreign material (fungicide, wax, dirt, etc.) Prize winning pumpkins must remain on grounds until 4 PM Sunday, September 8, 2019. Judges’ decision is final and monetary prizes will be awarded with prize level depending on sponsorship donations. The prizes awarded at the end of weigh-in, approximately 10:15 AM.
